Month Four - May 2 - May 31
10 The Kelley Memorial window – “St. Francis”
One immedately recognizes St. Francis as the one surrounded by various animals: birds, a sheep, a dog, a squirrel. In addition, he wears the traditional robes of a monk. (This window was donated by the artist, Charles Connick, in memory of the Kelleys.)
11. The Bolles Memorial window – “St. Michael, Archangel”
In this rendition , St. Michael, who is often shown overcoming a dragon, symboizing the powers of darkness and chaos (cf. the readings for The Fast of St. Michael and All Angels in the Book of Common Prayer.
